P.E.O. Chapter P, Weston (Philanthropic, Educational Organization) is a local community based organization of women who are passionate about its mission: promoting educational opportunities for women. Chapter P was organized in Weston in 1966 by a group of 17 women, becoming Connecticut's 16th P.E.O. Chapter. Fritzi Klopfenstein was the chapter's founding President. Since 1966, Chapter P has raised funds to support many of the international organization's scholarship, grant and loan programs benefiting women from Connecticut and around the world. In 2001, Chapter P established a local Memorial and Honorarium Fund that provides up to $2,500 annually to college-bound women from Weston, Easton and Redding.

Currently Chapter P has 28 active members and three non-resident members. Members live in Weston, Easton, Redding, and Wilton.

Chapter P is also involved in the local community. Many of its members are active in groups like Weston Senior Center, Kiwanis and The Weston Historical Society. Every year, Chapter P organizes an annual food drive for the Weston Food Pantry. In 2018, Chapter P hosted its first, biennial "Walk the Runway" fashion show, which raised more than $7,000 for the various P.E.O. scholarship awards.
